The two get married and depart on their honeymoon, living "ugly ever after" and ending the movie. When a green ogre named Shrek discovers his swamp has been 'swamped' with all kinds of fairytale creatures by the scheming Lord Farquaad, Shrek units out with a very loud donkey by his side to 'persuade' Farquaad to provide Shrek his swamp again. Farquaad, who needs to become the King, sends Shrek to rescue Princess Fiona, who's awaiting her true love in a tower guarded by a fire-breathing dragon. But as soon as they head back with Fiona, it starts to turn obvious that not solely does Shrek, an unpleasant ogre, begin to fall in love with the lovely princess, but Fiona can be hiding an enormous secret. A sizeable crew was hired to run a test, and after 12 months and a half of R & D, the check was finally screened in May 1997. At this time Antz was nonetheless in manufacturing by the studio and Effects Supervisor Ken Bielenberg was asked by Aron Warner "to begin out development for Shrek." Similar to previous PDI movies, PDI used its personal proprietary software program for its animated films.
